(the long version)
TJ has a background in philosophy, political theory, English lit, drumming, martial arts and is proud recipient of a PhD in dog walking.
Her work in progress is upmarket literary fiction based on a shortlisted story. She's also querying her near future thriller, Disformation, described as ‘a fantastic concept, delivered with humour and incredibly sharp writing’ (Jack Renninson, Bookouture).
Shortlisted for the Aesthetica short fiction prize, 2024.
Winner of Curtis Brown Creative's New Beginnings Poetry Prize, 2022.
Keeping up to speed with the craft and business of writing, she's a member of writers' groups: the Best Seller Experiment (BXP), Litopia and Jericho Writers.
TJ squirrels away at her writing beside the seaside. Between scenes, she delivers babies and provides maternity in fiction advice to fellow writers. In her spare time, she sea/lido swims, and follows her four-legged boss along coastal paths.
TJ’s love of the sea and writing demands she’ll be making up stories until her scattered ashes float past some unsuspecting sea swimmer.
