(the long version)

Trey has a background in English lit, philosophy, political theory, African drumming, martial arts and midwifery. More importantly, she's a proud recipient of a PhD in dog walking.

Her works-in-progress are a coming-of-age adult novel based on a shortlisted story, and its psychological thriller prequel.

She writes near future and contemporary thrillers, SF, poetry and short stories. She'd have a go at horror, except she's a scaredy-cat.

Keeping up to speed with the craft and business of writing, she's a member of writers' groups: Litopia, Jericho Writers and the BXP.

TJ squirrels away at her words beside the seaside. Between scenes, she delivers babies and provides maternity-in-fiction advice to fellow writers. In her spare time, she sea/lido swims, kayaks, visits her children in Austria, and follows her four-legged boss along coastal paths.

Shortlisted for the Aesthetica short fiction prize, 2024.
Winner of Curtis Brown Creative's New Beginnings Poetry Prize, 2022.

TJ’s love of the sea and writing demands she’ll be making up stories until her scattered ashes float past some unsuspecting sea swimmer.
